Recently, Antioch Church renovated their Prayer Center. We helped deliver the project 100% remotely, so Joe only recently got to see it in person.
This is a small venue, maybe 75 seats. It is open several days a week for congregants to come and pray and sit, much like a traditional sanctuary. In addition to daily prayer, they host worship nights and other events in the space with a full worship team. Those daily events used to require technician support, a huge time consumer.
Blanton and his team tackled the installation themselves, however, they asked us to help design the system, advise on rigging, and deliver the Q-SYS components and programming.
With an iPad on the wall, anyone can come in and easily play music from a phone, and set levels for the wireless microphones. They can pick from several lighting looks and turn on the displays for ProPresenter.
When a full band is there, and sound is present on the X32 mixing console, the system automatically switches over to advanced mode. The audio controls disappear from the iPad and a technician runs the show from the console.
In chatting with Blanton about the project, it occurred to him that he had not had a tech support call for that venue since it went in. What a win! We are thankful to have played our part.
